A Beauty Way To Go

The gray clouds, source of the cold drizzle,  finally lifted this weekend and I was treated to a visual reminder of why people come to the Adirondacks. As if I needed it.
Friends who now live out of the area are in town and took this weekend to go hiking and backpacking in the High Peaks. I admit I was predicting a gloomy and wet weekend, advising them to "bring a raincoat." However, I am happy to report hiking is great in the Adirondacks right now. Surprisingly, the trails are not too muddy for this time of year and the temperatures are just right at mid-70s during the day. The Adirondack blue sky contrasted with the young, spring green hues is a delightful sight. Mother Nature knows what she is doing when it comes to color combination. The Adirondacks are indeed a beauty way to go.
