Natural Settings Help Brain Fatigue

I love it when someone else conducts research which proves my point. I know that sounds braggy and cheap, but, there you go. The New York Times published this article yesterday which cites scientific evidence and research that seeing and being in natural settings makes people feel good. I know, duh. I hope they didn't spend as much money on this study as they did studying the DNA of deadbeat Poppa Bears in Montana. In any case, the NYT article is a good one and has some interesting links to other academic work in this area. Reading the comments to the NYT article is just as interesting. The article says natural settings can help kids with ADD. Although the nuns from my grade school might argue, I don't have ADD, but I prefer to be outdoors. I bet it works on everyone. Here's the ski report I promised because of our first, October 2008 serious snowfall: "Very nice." It was great to be able to ski already. It snowed lightly overnight and the temperature dropped to 20 degrees, so the skiing will be even better today. My brain is tired; there might even be a slide show coming!
