Adirondack Lifestyle Tip of the Tuque

In addition to having the option to watch Olympic skiing live on CTV,  living in Lake Placid in the Adirondacks allows me to also have the option to go for a ski most winter days. To clarify for you flatlanders, think of 'going  for a ski' as comparable to going out for a run, except it is more fun, a better workout, and makes for happier knees. Today's late afternoon ski at Mount Van Hoevenberg was superb. The trails are in wonderful condition and the employees at the Olympic Cross-country ski center get today's well-deserved tip of the tuque - thanks! The excellent conditions are a little remarkable to me since the Adirondacks are in a bit of a snow drought. The groomers and staff at MVH have done a magical job turning the every-other-day two and three inches of snow into delightful ski conditions. It goes to show you, it is seldom how much of something you have that matters, rather what you do with what you have that counts.
