Adirondack Telecommuting

It is easy to see why some people might not give serious consideration to the idea of working from home in the Adirondacks. As I sit here in my home office, telecommuting as they say, I gaze longingly out the window at the cobalt blue sky that makes this another perfect Adirondack day. It would be easy to get distracted; I’d rather be on the trail, on top of a mountain, or in a canoe right now. One of the nice things about living and working in the Adirondacks, however, is you have the choice to be disciplined and get your work done, and then go out and play in one of the most beautiful places in the United States. Maybe even the world. With that kind of reward on offer, fulfilling one's work obligations is a breeze. There are also those times when the powder is too sweet or conditions too perfect, and a choice must be made: meet that deadline or spend the afternoon powder skiing. It is at these moments when one’s resourcefulness is challenged. In my book, having a work problem like that is a “work issue” I can handle.
But I digress. The point is if you can telecommute, like to play outdoors and appreciate natural beauty, the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York are for you. If you’d like assistance with making that happen, I am here to help. I can help you find a business to buy, a home to live in, and introduce you to the nice folks at the Adirondack Initiative for Wired Work hosted at Clarkson University, who can get you all the technical information you need to create your office in paradise. Work isn't a place you go, it is what you do.
