Epic Adirondack Spring Skiing

Today's image is yesterday's view of Whiteface Mountain from a mid-station deck Adirondack Chair. As you can probably tell from the photo, the trails are pretty empty. What you can't tell from the photo is the degree of epicness of the skiing. Whiteface has tons of snow and all the trails were sporting beautiful corn snow for a Spring outfit. The sad part is you really have to be within driving distance of the Adirondacks to catch the exact moment when the snow turns to perfect corn conditions. It is my opinion that Spring corn snow skiing is sometimes better than powder skiing. It is certainly a more civilized temperature in which to be outdoors! My real estate work is picking up which means people are thinking 'buy property' in the Adirondacks again. This is a good thing for all of us, but it definitely impacts my play time!

Thanks! I was there yesterday too - it was great and I am exhausted again. There is still a ton of snow to be enjoyed. They are going to be opened this weekend, close during the week, and then open again next weekend. Yes, you must - both weekends!
