Coping with Adirondack Gray

It is the time of year in the Adirondacks when traditionally, many locals head south to warmer and sunnier locales for fishing and other water-related vacations. Sometimes, Adirondack Spring seems grayer than anywhere else in the world, like today. I would be remiss if I didn't also note there are days when Adirondack Spring is so warm and sunny and blue that one could mistake the place for Belize, except for the Caribbean of course. But for those of us not traveling this spring, we would all do well to remember: keep the blood sugar stable with frequent small meals including some protein, exercise, and get outside as much as possible to soak up as much positive vibes from the sunshine as you can on these exceptionally gray and dreary days. Dr. Joann says "Life is too short to drink bad wine or be cranky."
