Adirondack Wildflower Season Begins!

One of the nicest things about spending time in the Adirondack Region of Upstate New York is the abundance of eye candy; the presence of incredible natural beauty everywhere you look. I've raved about how lovely the Adirondacks are when blanketed in fresh snow and now the springtime spectacle has begun! The wildflowers have started to bloom and will provide a stunning show until the Goldenrod fades in early Fall. I took a walk on the 3 acre wood yesterday and found Spring Beauties, Trillium, Trout Lilies and Dutchman's Breeches, all in bloom. The colorful flowers and amazingly different shades of green, so prevalent in Spring, are a pleasant switch from the palette of Winter. Here is a link to a few photos from my recent wildflower walk.
