Pine Brook Farm - a Walk With a View

When I am looking for open vista views of the Adirondacks and don't have time to hike up a mountain, I take a walk at one of my favorite places - Pine Brook Farm. Pine Brook Farm is a new land development on Old Military Road, between John Brown and Bear Cub Roads in Lake Placid. In addition to incredible mountain views, you can also see the ski jumps left over from the 1980 Olympic Winter Games. This is one of the most convenient places in Lake Placid to get outside for a walk. It is close to the Village, but you can still find peace and quiet from which to take in mountain views, walk Fido and even grab a bit of history while you are at it. Created by North Country Properties, the public recreational trails that wind through the many acres of woods and fields at Pine Brook connect with a National Historic Landmark, the farm and grave of the famous abolitionist John Brown. It is quite special to have properties with such privacy located within walking distance of the Village of Lake Placid and the United States Olympic Training Center. Pine Brook Farm still has 14 vacant lots available ranging in size from 2+ acres to 8 acres. Most of the lots have excellent mountain views facing Whiteface, Marcy and Algonquin Mountains. The pedestrian easement that winds throughout the property and the field area is classified Historic Preservation and will remain with no buildings. It is a beautiful spot for a home in the event you like the idea of living, vacationing or just taking a walk in paradise.
