Cheezey Adirondack Fall Folliage Report

I know anyone who is a serious leaf-peeper has a much better source for leaf intelligence than my rambling Adirondack Lifestyle Blog, but I will at least mention the eye candy is looking good. Every day it seems the colors and impact are at their highest, but then it looks nicer the next day. Today's photo is of the Mirror Lake paddling lanes in Lake Placid earlier this week. If you've never been to Lake Placid in the Adirondack North Country, it is important to understand that the Village of Lake Placid is oriented around Mirror Lake. The Lake is three-miles in
circumference. A road circles it called, surprisingly, Mirror Lake Drive. Mirror Lake Drive turns into Main Street in the downtown section where almost all the retail activity occurs. A lovely brick sidewalk also circles the lake and the three mile "walk around the Lake" is a great way to get a little exercise and have a business meeting. Aside from all the recreational opportunities, it is nice to have a lake as 'the center of attention' on a daily basis.
