Staying Well in the Adirondacks

Like everywhere else in the world, a solid health care network is an integral part of the good life here in the Adirondacks. Fortunately, the Adirondack Medical (AMC) is on the case, twenty-four seven. The challenge of providing quality health care in the present-day United States is no small one. Add the rural disadvantages of distance and low population density and you have a monumental task. We are extremely fortunate to have an organization of the size and expertise of AMC as our health care provider. In a noble attempt to overcome the expansive geographical challenges, AMC provides health care in five off-site locations: Keene, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and Wilmington. I could tell you a lot more about AMC and how important it is to the Adirondacks and our sport-event and recreational-athlete based economy, but, that is not the point of this post. Rather, I need to tell any athletes or psuedo athletic people like me about Kari's Medfit program at the Sports Medicine Department at Adirondack Medical Center. They help us, "bridge the gap between your doctor's office and your own personal health an fitness goals." Basically, if you have ever over-trained, have niggling injuries or just want to be stronger, this program is for you. You get a top-notch trainer who assesses your current status and designs a program to get you back on the mountain, golf course, or pursuing your dream to finish Ironman. I am a happy customer and like to pass on tips about living a healthy Adirondack Lifestyle. Call Kari at 518-523-8580 if you are ready to go for your health and fitness goal.
