Coming Up - a Perfect Weekend to Visit Lake Placid!

Summer is already heating up here in Lake Placid. The Village looks very sweet with the overflowing flower boxes and newly painted streets. Mirror Lake is finally the perfect temperature for swimming, especially after a run or road bike ride on the Ironman course. The first leg of the Lake Placid Horse Show runs through this Sunday. The Shows take a two-day break and are back in action June 30 - July 5. There are a number of Ironman competitors and camps out and about, getting in shape for the best Ironman competition in the country, Ironman Lake Placid, which takes place July 26th this year. Competitor or not, a bike ride through the Adirondack Mountains is a special experience.
Actually, with all due respect to the great events and activities planned for Lake Placid, the most important extravaganza on tap for this weekend is an open house I am hosting for one of my favorite listings!
