Catch the Adirondacks on National Television

If you are not able to make it up to this Adirondack Paradise for all the holiday activities and outdoor fun, you can vicariously enjoy the Adirondacks by watching it on your tee-vee next weekend. A TV crew from ABC's "Good Morning America" will be in Lake Placid tomorrow to film the holiday activities here and in the surrounding communities. The ABC crew will cover the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll and tree lighting, Main Street carolers, the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center in Wilmington and the hundreds of thousand of colorful lights that twinkle along the shores of Mirror Lake. At the tree lighting on Main Street, the Lake Placid Mayor will flip the switch to light a 25-foot balsam fir Christmas tree adorned with thousands of lights. Church bells will chime throughout the village at 5:30 p.m. and the Lake Placid School Choir will sing a medley of holiday carols. The feature is scheduled to air on "Good Morning America" from 8 to 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Check out this link for more information on all events this weekend. Don't miss the highlight of the weekend in my opinion; the free screening of the Polar Express on Sunday!
