Adirondack Real Estate and Skiing

Important things first: skiing is simply superb in the Adirondacks right now. If you don't live here, you should come up and ski this weekend. And if you do live here, what are doing reading his - get out and ski! It just keeps snowing and snowing. Temps are in the single digits - zero last night - so we have so-called 'western powder,' only better, since it is waiting for me right out the door.

One of the main reasons I am doing this blog is because I am in the real estate business. That is, I am a licensed sales agent (in NY and NJ) who specializes in resort property, commercial real estate and business broker services. I am particularly interested in the international real estate market. I suppose a significant thing to point out is that I have lived and studied in Europe. I am, or used to be, fluent in German, and can manage in other languages. I work with the Prudential Terry Horrocks Real Estate Agency in Lake Placid, New York. I hope the visitors from other countries who are visiting this blog find it interesting or helpful, and are aware what a value property in the U.S. is right now. Considering the pathetic state of the dollar and our current buyer-friendly market, real estate in the Adirondacks is indeed a real value right now.
If you enjoy vacations in the mountains, you should have a look at Adirondack real estate. It is a great investment, and there is nothing like owning your own place to come to, and really 'get away.' You can be as remote as you like, or be in a neighborhood just blocks away from remote.
The Adirondack Great Camp I am featuring today is a prime example of the perfect location; private, but close to everything with outrageous views.
"Situated on 6.5 acres of meadow and mature forest with spectacular 180° views encompassing Whiteface Mountain, the Intervale Ski Jumps, the Sentinel Mountain Range and the McKenzie Mountain Range - this site is just awesome!! A pedestrian easement meanders throughout Pine Brook Farm connecting this site to the historic John Brown Farm and hundreds of acres of New York State land for unsurpassed outdoor recreation pursuits. The loj is being constructed with materials and in the style of the Adirondack Great Camps - natural log interior beams and native hardwoods, massive field stone fireplaces and exterior stone accents, bark-on exterior cedar posts and authentic Adirondack twig work - just the materials and style that you would expect in an elegant loj of a century ago. The majestic loj will encompass 6,500 square feet of finished living area, plus a privately accessed, 650 square foot bonus room above the garage. All of this located just minutes from the Village of Lake Placid."
That was quite a commercial I realize, but at least you get extra pictures. Give me a call if you would like to learn more about this property.
